“Our history was disappearing as quickly as we were making it.” It is from this observation that American lesbian activists Deborah Edel and Joan Nestle co-founded The Lesbian Herstory Archive. With determination, humor and a homemade shelf, they have collected and archived what is to date the world’s largest collection of lesbian history.

Today, the archive faces many challenges: passing the torch to the younger generation, adapting to new technologies, and helping to reinvent lesbian activism at a time in American history when some of the movement’s victories are being questioned. The "Archivettes" tells their story and how they succeeded in fighting against the invisibilisation of lesbians for more than 40 years!

After the film, a meeting with Charline Herbin and Mathilde Messina, whose master’s thesis focused on the history of lesbians in Brussels and presentation of the Fonds Suzan Daniel by Bart Hellinck .

This coming-of-age film addresses the topic with poetry, and offers a vibrant, realistic and sensual immersion in the universe of this terribly endearing teenager.

Markus lives in the German country side, where he cares for his lesbian grandmothers, one of whom suffers from dementia. But he longs to move to Berlin, to experience his identity and sexuality to the fullest. When Duc comes into his life, Markus is torn between staying to see this new love flourish in the province he knows so well, and leaving to make his dreams come true. A subtle and sweet fable about self-discovery.
