Sanded Bonobos & Perforated Tanks
Labourer of a form of art with a million introversions, Tatiana Bohm, perforates, burns, sands, ties, embroiders ... Her work sheds light on a complex reality that criticises people’s relation to the word around them.

On the 23rd day of this year, Cinema Nova will shed its innocence! By night, the scoundrel will blow out 18 candles. As an adult, the Nova will have to take responsibility even for its more immature acts! We will be hosting a plethora of events for you to accompany this emancipatory coming of age. A crazy night of hip bodies elegantly robed in the dancing cellar, beautiful nudes and wonderful tangles on the screen. You wont be spared anything, this 23rd of January, except good taste!

The continuity of coherent images, the sounds that produce meaning and the techniques used by the film maker to produce them, all need to be interrogated when analysing a film. Some films have deeply marked the history of world cinema and cinematographic practices, "Battleship Potemkine" is one of them. Thierry Odeyn (professor at Insas and Ihecs) will try to explain why.

For this first Cineketje of the year we host a screening for kids put together by Black Movie, a Genevan festival on cinematographic discoveries that celebrates its 15th birthday this year.

Bring your own film to Nova’s screen! As long as they are not longer than 15 minutes, you can show your masterpieces during our Open Screen. Send them a week in advance to our office in Arenbergstreet 14, 1000 Brussels (please don’t forget to indicate your contact).
