Ad libitum

Non-profitable association founded in 1999 by Christophe Auger and Laure Sainte-Rose (both former foundators of MTK), l’Atelier cinématographique Ad Libitum, is conceived as a laboratory whose goal is to promote visual and sound arts. Based since its creation in a former windmill in the city of Cras (Ysère), this atelier furnishes specific cinematographical equipments used for shooting, developping, printing, editing and Special FX processes for 8, S8, 16 and 35mm. It also contains an analogic sound studio for sound recording, editing and mixing. The activities run from special FX works and specific printing for film-makers, to experimental and amateur films’ restauration and protection, the conception and running of pedagogical workshop sessions, programmation and distribution. This atelier is also a common place dedicated to creation and research, in picture as well as sound, welcoming film-makers and plastic arts artists and putting at their disposal all its equipment to allow them to pursue their artistic work.
